My wife, S., and I have recently moved close to Calgary in hopes to join Calgary Harvest and to start our lives as a young married couple. However since moving in we have found that the landlord has been covering up a serious mold problem and we now need to find a new home in the next couple of weeks. Our health is starting to take a toll from living near this issue, most notably our dog who has become quite ill. I have been spending numerous days combing through listings to find something that is suitable for us and allows us to stay in the area. Unfortunately nothing has come up and becoming harder to find a place. This morning I felt the need to consider purchasing a home but do not want to go beyond this test of faith. Our finances are taking a beating and things are becoming more bleak. S. has started her career as a teacher in Strathmore and I have put my studies aside to look for work, this too is becoming harder to find as I'm sure many others are looking for work as well.
So I ask, if you will, to pray for us. I trust and know provision will come. However I do not want our faith to weaken and I do not want to do this in our own strength. The battle is just starting and we cannot fight this alone. We have gone through periods of discouragement and sadness, fear and anxiety. The enemy is playing all of his cards these days and we are in need of support from the saints that make up this body.
Thank you very much if you have read this, I look forward to meeting you one day.
